A Society with a Blindfold

Chicago's most recent sunny weather has inspired me to write today's blog. Mother nature's persistence has persuaded me to lose the blindfold that I had on for so much time. I think that you will agree with me when I say that our busy lives cause us to wear a blindfold that is sometimes hard to pull down. But, we are guilty of our convictions. Whether it's updating our Facebook and Twitter or texting our lives away until our thumbs can no longer function, we ALWAYS find something to do. Our busy lives put a blindfold on us and that blindfold does not allow us to enjoy the real gifts that we are given. The world's greatest gifts don't come through texts or tweets, but through the beautiful things mother nature has laid out for us. But, we would never appreciate the world's greatness if we don't take off that blindfold. The next time you are walking to school, work, the store, or just out to your car: stop, listen, and observe. You may just lose the blindfold...
